Hindu Secrets

This website reveals the profound psychological and spiritual mysteries hidden within Paurāṇic stories, revealing their deeper meanings through the symbolism encoded by ancient scriptural authors. While these stories have captivated generations, few realize that their true value lies beneath the surface—locked within symbols, waiting to be uncovered by wisdom and understanding. We go beyond treating these tales as mere history, guiding viewers to recognize the immense treasure of knowledge they contain. Through research and analysis, our content offers a fresh perspective, helping to lift the veil that often obscures the timeless teachings of the Paurāṇas and inspiring genuine personal evolution.

Dr Radha Gupta

My journey into the study of Indian scriptures was not a planned one—it was destiny unfolding quietly, step by step.

Coming from a family rooted in spiritual values, I grew up familiar with the Purāṇas and the great epics—the BhāgavatamRāmāyaṇa, and Mahābhārata. Yet, whenever I read or heard them, my mind filled with questions. The ideals and morals stayed with me, but their deeper meaning remained hidden. Life went on, and though I lived by those values, the alternating waves of happiness and sorrow kept stirring one question within me: Is there no way to go beyond sorrow altogether?

That search deepened during my doctoral studies. While working on Yogavāsiṣṭha for my D.Litt., I came upon the central idea that peace and stability are possible only when one truly knows the Self—the Ātman. Through reflection and meditation, the realization gradually dawned that I am not this body but the energy, the soul that animates it. Yet even then, the knowledge remained intellectual—I longed to live it.

When my brother, Shri Vipin Kumar, a scientist with a lifelong love for the Vedas, invited me to help him prepare a subject index of the Purāṇas, I hesitated. I had already devoted years to research and had little interest in the Purāṇas. But life has its own way of leading us where we are meant to go. Eventually, I joined him—and that changed the course of my life.

As we worked together, I began to see that the stories of our scriptures are not merely historical or mythological—they are symbolic. Beneath their poetic surface lies an ocean of psychological and spiritual wisdom. My brother’s book Vedic References in the Purāṇas and his Vedic commentaries became guiding lights on this path.

Slowly, my study evolved into a quest to decode these symbols. MahābhārataŚrīmad Bhāgavatam, and Rāmāyaṇabecame living laboratories of consciousness. I discovered that through the language of symbols, our sages preserved eternal truths—about the mind, ego, evolution of consciousness, and the journey from ignorance to self-realization.

Each phase was guided by divine grace. Every discovery felt less like my achievement and more like revelation. Meditation practices in the tradition of Rājayoga (as taught by Sister Shivani) helped transform theoretical understanding into living experience.

Looking back, I see how beautifully the pieces came together—the scientific precision of my brother’s Vedic research, the quiet support of my husband Ravikant, and the patient encouragement of my sons Ankur and Arpan. Family conversations became sacred dialogues; what began as personal curiosity slowly blossomed into a lifelong journey of symbolic understanding.

Through this ongoing research, I have come to see that our scriptures are mirrors of human evolution. Their stories are not about distant gods and demons but about forces within us—the rise and fall of consciousness, the play of desires, ego, faith, and wisdom.

The purpose of this website is to share that journey—to open the “story-caves” of the Purāṇas and reveal the timeless truths sealed within them. If even one reader begins to see these scriptures with new eyes, the purpose of this work will be fulfilled.

With humility, I bow to that Supreme Power that chose me as a medium for this unfolding.
